You don't always have to travel north to try your luck at catching fresh Atlantic Salmon.
Fly fishing the English chalk streams for Atlantic Salmon is a very unique experience. There are only so many places in the world you can sight fish for these wonderful wild Salmon. The Lower parts of the Itchen, Test and Avon to name a few, are rivers where this can be possible and are where some of the best chances for catching Salmon can be found. The size of the grilse is particularly impressive with an average weight between 7-8lbs. With the beats, only 1 mile from the tidal limits these salmon our sliver fresh.
Every chalk stream salmon we catch is released back into the river. The fish's well-being will always come first, before the photo.
The time of year best for salmon fishing as fresh sea lice Salmon is from June to the end of September when they enter the river daily.
One of the rods caught 7 salmon in a day in August. We can't guarantee fish but that's impressive!!
