Chalk stream fly fishing for brown trout on the River Kennet

Avington Estate is completely exclusive to us. It is on the main river Kennet as well as having some smaller carriers, giving you two types of fishing. If you are looking for both stocked and wild trout on the Kennet this estate is perfect. We offer 6 rod days on a Monday

if you wish to entertain a group on the river. And 2 rod days for a more casual affair.  

There is also a pavilion to take a break from the river and have a refreshment/lunch, The pavilion is equipped with a loo as well and has facilities to make a hot drink.

Denford 

 The River Kennet at Denford is made up of two miles of narrow challenging water, with a few exciting bends and weirs holding the odd monster trout. Light tackle and delicate presentation is quite essential when trying your hand at catching these beautiful wild brown trout and grayling. It is also stocked with some rainbow and brown trout. 

The Kennet is perfect for getting your accuracy tuned and losing a few flies but when you've mastered it it's a joy to fish.  

The beat at Denford is made up of carriers but it does include some of the main River Kennet. There is plenty of room here to get lost in nature.

There is a hut for you to relax in and make a brew which is equipped with a bbq if you want a hot lunch. We can also organise a hamper for you if you wish.
