The fishing on this private estate is one of the largest continuous stretches of prime chalk steam, in the UK It is situated on the lower River Test, close to Romsey, Hampshire.

At Broadlands Estate we are set up perfectly for Corporate events and fly fishing for beginners. With a massive stretch of 4 and a half miles of fishing available over 5 beats, we can cater for big fishing parties as well as smaller groups.

The estates 5 beats allows us to put rods on as much water as we need. We offer catered lunch on the river bank or in the newly restored Orangery overlooking the iconic river Test.

Avington Estate sits along the main River Kennet, complemented by smaller carriers, offering two distinct  fly fishing experiences.

Ideal for both stocked and wild trout fishing, the estate provides 6-12 rod days each Monday perfect for anglers seeking variety whilst being ideal for fly fishing lessons. If you’re planning to entertain a group by the river, Avington is an excellent choice. Just outside Hungerford, it’s an easy drive from London via the M4 or a convenient train ride from Paddington in just over an hour.

The estate features a comfortable pavilion right by the riverbank, where you can relax, take in the views, and watch the trout jump. It’s an easy stroll to hook a strong-fighting trout, ready for the BBQ.
